What is the focus of the group?

Foundations of Whole Family Health is a 6-week online group programme, designed to reduce the guilt and overwhelm that tends to creep in when we think about family health. Instead, we will cultivate a more playful approach, build confidence, and take meaningful steps towards a healthier life for the whole family.

We will explore a simple way to approach healthy changes that works for adults and children. This method will be applied to five foundational pillars of health:

  • stress management
  • sleep
  • movement
  • social connection
  • dietary choices

You will learn why they matter, and how to begin to build positive habits in each area. You will build a unique plan for your family as the sessions progress.

Why group coaching?

Group coaching is a more affordable way to access the support of a well-qualified coach, while connecting with other like-minded people. A group environment has inbuilt support and accountability from members as well as the facilitator (that's me!).

What does it cost?

The 6-week Foundations of Whole Family Health group running in June/July 2022 will be £126pp, (which equates to £21 per session).

When will the group sessions be?

Foundations of Whole Family Health will run from 10-11am on Thursdays for 6 weeks, from 9th June - 14th July 2022. 

If this does not work for you, register your interest above to stay informed of future sessions. You will be able to record your preferred times and general availability when you register.

What is the format?

Each week the group will meet for 1 hour on Zoom. There will be a maximum of 6 participants per session. Each session will have a focus, with a small amount of entirely optional background reading (approximately 10 minutes per week), and some questions to reflect on. The agenda for each week will be provided in advance.

The majority of each session will be devoted to group discussion, which I will facilitate. You will have regular opportunities to share/contribute if you wish to do so. It is not compulsory, though it is the best way to get the most value out of the group setting.

Each week will include a short family-friendly mindfulness activity and a movement based game, so you will have a set of six of each to explore with your family by the end of the programme.

At the end of each session, you will be encouraged to identify one or more experiments to implement over the week. There will be an opportunity to check in with the group on how things are going each week.

There will be a private Facebook group set up for participants for the duration of the programme, which will remain open for at least 3 months after the last session. This will be a place to connect, support each other, and celebrate wins - large and small - as they arise.
